Chapter 31.98 EFFECTIVE DATE, CONSTRUCTION, AND SEVERABILITY

(1) Effective Date. This Code shall take effect immediately and shall repeal, supersede, and replace any prior ordinance enacted by the Tribe governing adjudication of the types of claims covered by this Code.

(2) Construction. In construing this Code, the present tense includes the past and future tenses, and the future tense includes the present tense. When reference is made to any portion of this Code, the reference shall apply to all amendments made hereafter.

(3) Severability. If any part of this Code is invalidated by the Tribal Court, all valid parts that are severable from the invalid part remain in effect. If a part of this Code is invalid in one or more of its applications, that part remains in effect in all valid applications that are severable from the invalid applications. [Res. 24-44, 2024.]
