The defendant may file a motion to set aside the verdict if they believe the jury verdict was contrary to the law or the evidence presented at trial. The defendant shall file the motion within 20 days after the initial verdict was rendered. The Court will set the jury verdict aside only where it finds there was insufficient evidence to support the verdict and there was reasonable doubt as to the defendant’s guilt as a matter of law.
