17.01.030 Definitions.
This section is included in your selections.
(1) “Employer”: refers to the Tribe as a government employer.
(2) “Employee”: refers to a regular, non-contract, employee of the Employer who was not appointed by the Tribal Council. “Employee” refers to both exempt and non-exempt employees.
(a) Tribal council members: Any official serving on the Tribal Council is ineligible for employment with the Tribe. For those employees currently serving as Tribal councilmembers, this provision will not apply to them until the completion of their current term of office. [Res. 22-120, 2022.]
