Wildlife in Cowlitz territory is presently abundant and can be relied upon to meet the ceremonial and subsistence needs of the CIT. Some of the more abundant wildlife resource may be shared with other tribes and citizens of the United States, who shall acknowledge the CIT as the original and primary stakeholder in matters affecting Cowlitz wildlife.
