Designated Hunter” means a hunter who is an immediate family member who has been designated to hunt in the place of a CIT member who is eligible to obtain tags but is unable to hunt for the household due to advanced age, infirmary, or other extraordinary circumstance preventing one from hunting. Designation shall be in writing and shall be approved in advance of the hunt by the department. A designated hunter shall carry the enrolled member’s tags and a letter of designation while hunting. Designated hunters shall receive no monetary compensation for their service.
