(1) Conduct the daily activities of the department.

(2) Hire department staff per budget, to assist in the executing of the duties of the department.

(3) Have authority to do all things necessary and proper in order to administer and enforce the provisions of this Title.

(4) Review and provide recommendations or amendments to the Economic Development and Operations Committee on applications or proposals for a business opportunity or draft articles of incorporation.

(5) Review amended articles of incorporation and provide recommendations to the Economic Development and Operations Committee prior to their decisions for recommendations for Council.

(6) Review and make recommendations to the Economic Development and Operations Committee for proposed articles of dissolution and to administer dissolving corporations after receiving direction from the Tribal Council.

(7) Accept for filing such other notices, reports and other documents from corporations for the purpose of making such documents available to the Economic Development and Operations Committee, Tribal Council members, and General Council Chair person upon request.

(8) Propound to any corporation subject to the provisions of this Title, such interrogatories or demands to inspect documents as may be reasonably necessary or proper to enable the Director to ascertain whether such corporation is complying with all of the provisions of this Title or other applicable laws. Such interrogatories or demands for inspection shall be answered within 30 days after the mailing thereof, and the answers thereto shall be full and complete.

(9) Supervise the orderly dissolution of corporations formed under Tribal law after directed to do so in writing by a Tribal Council resolution;

(10) Participate in actions in a Council or Court of competent jurisdiction for the enforcement of any of the provisions of this Title as it concerns to regulating a Tribal whole or majority owned corporation, after receiving Tribal Council approval.
