(1) The Director of the Economic Development and Operations Department may be hired by the General Council Chair person.

(2) In the event that the Economic Development and Operations Director ceases to function or is unable to perform the tasks and duties given to them, the Economic Development and Operations Committee of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe shall assume all powers and duties under the Economic Development and Operations Director until such time that the General Council Chair person establishes or re-establishes the original intent and function of the Economic Development and Operations Director.

(3) The Economic Development and Operations Director shall be subject to the day to day oversight of the General Council Chair.
