(1) “Electronic communication,” for the purpose of CTC 26.15.160 through 26.15.180, means any form of expression or exchange of information by speech, photographs or written form using electronic means. Electronic communication includes, but is not limited to, communication via telephone, facsimile, electronic mail, social media and other electronic forms.

(2) “Specific person,” for the purpose of CTC 26.15.150 through 26.15.180, means any person who is subjected to harassment as defined by subsection (1) of this section.

(3) “Electronic surveillance,” for the purpose of CTC 26.15.150 through 26.15.180, means monitoring the behavior, activities, or whereabouts by electronic means.

(4) “Harassment restraining order,” for the purpose of CTC 26,15.150 through 26.15.180, means a Court order restricting a person from harassing, threatening, contacting, or approaching another specified person for a period of time.

(5) “Temporary harassment restraining order,” for the purpose of CTC 26.15.150 through 26.15.180, means a Court order restricting a person from harassing, threatening, contacting, or approaching another specified person for a period generally not longer than 14 days.
