Upon killing a big game animal a hunter shall write on the tag in the space provided the date, species, and game management unit number. The tag shall them be attached to the big game carcass and it shall remain with the carcass during transport. The head of the animal shall accompany each carcass. Failure to immediately apply a tag is a violation.
