Hunting hours start with the first light of day, and end at dusk. First light means the earliest time of day a hunter can visually locate game animals and discern a safe field of fire without artificial means. Dusk means the increasingly darker stage of twilight at which a hunter can no longer discern game animals or a safe field of fire.
