02.05.010 Land-Use categories, defined.
(1) The general reason and purpose for acquisition and associated management of land under or potential to be under Tribal ownership is to define the allowable use of currently-owned parcels and define potential stipulations and associated land uses in regards to land transactions or future land management concerns. Land use categories include:
(A) Administration; defined as land containing governmental function offices, storage and associated maintenance facilities to be defined for Tribal Administration oversight.
(B) Cultural Resources; defined as land containing significant cultural resources or suitable to be defined for Cultural Resources Department oversight.
(C) Natural Resources; defined as land containing significant natural resources or suitable To be defined for Natural Resources Department oversight.
(D) Education; defined as land suitable or to be defined for educational purposes for Education Department oversight.
(E) Economic; defined as land suitable or to be defined for business development for Economic Development Department oversight.
(F) Health; defined as land suitable or to be defined for health purposes for Health Department oversight.
(G) Transportation; defined as land suitable or to be defined for transportation purposes for Transportation Department oversight.
(H) Other categories defined on a case-by-case basis.
(2) Land parcels may have multiple, overlapping land-use categories assigned and shall be defined on a case-by-case basis.
(3) Land parcels may have multiple, non-overlapping uses assigned and shall be defined on a case-by-case basis.
(4) Land parcels that have or potentially have multiple, overlapping land-use categories or differing adjacent uses shall be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and shall be defined on a case- by-case basis.
(5) Land-Use category development shall take into account as much as possible a multiple disciplined approach towards formulating fiscal responsibilities associated with land parcel management.
