Any tribal officer, employee, volunteer, or member who participates in tribal activities may be charged with an ethics violation, which may be construed as any action, word, or deed that dishonors the tribe, or harms the general welfare of the tribe, or willfully refusing to submit to reasonable sanctions lawfully imposed by tribal authorities. Misconduct does not include actions that warrant criminal prosecution.
